This episode is a continuation of an article I read online in which they interviewed 10 people who moved to Japan to study Japanese. They are talking about how their impressions of Japanese people have changed since they moved to Japan. This continues to the next few episodes as well.

Shadowing Sentence: 〜したて

焼(や)き立(た)てのパンの香(こう)ばしい匂(にお)いとか、洗(あら)い立(た)ての服(ふく)の清潔(せいけつ)な感(かん)じとかは好(す)きですけど、
塗(ぬ)り立(た)てのペンキの匂(にお)いとか、おろしたての新(あたら)しい靴(くつ)の匂(にお)いとかは、あんまり好(す)きじゃないですね。

Vocabulary

  • 香ばしい匂い：aroma
  • 清潔な：clean, fresh
  • ペンキ：paint
  • 新しい靴をおろす：to start using a brand-new pair of shoes
